Introducing Peeking into Prayer | A Three week Study by Trudie Schar

I am so excited about this next study!  It’s titled Peeking Into Prayer: Discovering Purpose in Prayer.

By peeking into the prayers throughout the Bible, I believe we will learn several things:

1. The stories behind prayer warriors in the Bible.
2. That the struggles they were dealing with are ones we still deal with today.
3. That prayer does have great purpose. 

Of course, each day we will have some verses for you to read and one verse for you to TAP. (Do you need reminded what TAP is?  Check this post out) In the in-depth study plan we will dig into each prayer a little deeper and answer some questions. Then last of all there is a prayer prompt. 

Each day we find these people praying for a different purpose. So each day our prayer prompt will be similar to the purpose of those old prayers! We have a special download highlighting those prayer prompts, or you can simply check the in-depth study each day. 

Here are the important things to know about the study;

• Starts November 4th.
• It’s a three week study.
• Ends Friday, November 22.
• The reading plan comes out October 28th.
• The join-a-group option has changed for this study. Read more about this below, and then be sure to join the new group by October 28th!

Heads up, some things are changing:

Last, in 2020 we are rolling out an Insiders Study Group!  Let me explain! This insiders group will be something you can subscribe to monthly, or you can pay for the whole year. Once you sign up you have access to the In-depth Reading Plans, the Study Texting Group, the Insiders Study Meetup for that month, and will always have access to free shipping on Hello Jesus Company’s website.

That’s a lot of new words… so let me explain what each one is:

• In-depth Study: this is the additional study document that we’ve been offering for free this past year. It’s a small devotional for each day, along with questions to get you digging into the Word and reflection questions to get you thinking about how the Word relates to your life.
• Study Texting Group: this is a private, small group on the GroupMe texting app. Each day we’ll be chatting here about the verses we’ve been reading, in-depth study, and the prayer prompt. So we hope to connect with people, learn from each other, and come alongside each other in prayer. A place to virtually connect without social media 🙂  If you have a working study group, you may not be interested in this, but you are certainly welcome to join! *NOTE: This texting group will be replacing the join a group email groups.
• Insiders Study Meetup: This is also something new!  For every study, we would have a virtual study meetup. I’m thinking it’d be the last week of the study, during the evening, maybe around 8pm central time. (Some of these details will vary from study to study.) We will meet via Zoom. During the meeting we will chat about what we’ve learned during the study, pray together, share our favorite parts from the study… things like that. Meet-ups will last around an hour. 

Whew!  That was a lot of information! Still with me?  

So I said that arrives in 2020 — you probably wonder why we are telling you that now. Well, first, so that you know what to expect in 2020. Second, because going into the new prayer study we are going to start to roll some of these new options out for you!  And third, because we want to give you a chance to try being an Insider for free first. (In 2020 there will be a subscription to join the Insiders Study.) 

So what’s going to change this study? 

The in-depth study will still be available to everyone, through normal download. (That won’t change until 2020.) If you haven’t checked out the in-depth… now is your chance to do it for free! 

We are going to start an Insiders Texting Group for the Peeking Into Prayer Study… so if that interests you, sign up for the newsletter you will be emailed the link with the weekly emails. The spots will be limited this time. The gals who join this study will be our “pilot group”. 

We have an Insiders Meetup planned for November 21st!  And this time everyone’s invited! (More info coming later.)

Again, we are just telling you all this so you know what is coming in 2020. With every change, we pray that it equips and encourages you to be in the Word!
