Life is a story. Your life and mine. Our days make up chapters which make up books. These books contain triumphs, failures, lessons, conflicts, beauty, and growth. And at the end of our life–when our last page is written– if we believe in Jesus, a happily ever after awaits us.
Your story matters. Who you are matters. Your journey matters. Different isn’t bad, it is just different. The words people speak over you don’t overpower what your Father says about you.
I vividly remember as a little girl dreaming up story after story. However, somewhere along the way I began believing the lie that my story doesn’t matter. I stuffed it deep inside, down in darkness, afraid of letting light shine on who I truly was. I felt flawed, so I hid. I tried to fit in, to please people. I found out running from the person God made me, and the purpose He created for me is exhausting.
Peace and freedom is found when we shine light on our story and embrace the life God is writing for us. Each of our lives is a story just waiting to be told. Our stories delight our Father in Heaven and have power to influence those around us. The enemy will get us to believe they don’t matter; they arn’t important. Or, on the flip hand, he can get us to discount someone else’s story.
No, each one of our stories matter. They are being written by the Master Author with an intentional plan and purpose. My goal is to capture stories– yours and mine, our true stories. To honor the Lord in the art of words.
On my site you can join me as I explore stories. Stories written by others, stories written by me. Stories straight from real life, stories based on real life in a fiction setting. In all of these stories, I pray you find humor, healing, camaraderie, and safety. I pray that these stories bring honor to both God and the people He has lovingly created.
It is a journey. Will you take my hand and join me?
